there's a lot going on these days at the shop and it will be a challenge to keep up with it all on these pages. If something looks out of date or just plain wrong contact us for current information.

Weekly Cuppings

Every week at our Forest Park location public cuppings are held for anyone interested in learning about the coffee we serve. They are relatively informal affairs but there will always be someone to walk newcomers through the experience. There's no cost.

SCHEDULE:
Forest Park - every Sunday at 2:30PM

Other, employee, cuppings take place at both shops throughout the week. They are focused less on the mechanics of cupping and more on the qualities of the coffees in question. Anyone, however, is welcome to join in.

Art Exhibitions

The Forest Park location hosts artists from around the region and around the country to display their works. Each artist is given a month to display their painting, sculpture or other media thorughout the shop. We welcome the well known and encourage the not-yet well known to showcase at Coffee & Crema. Email us at "submissions" at "coffeeandcrema.com" for more information.

CURRENT EXHIBITION:

Tesha Zimmerman Dickey:

Our artist for the month of July was inspired by kaleidoscopes. In her own words: When you turn the dial of a kaleidoscope, there is always something new going on, a new pattern with all new colors. I wanted to capture the pattern of the gems, the light flooding through them, the brilliant colors. The last couple of years, I've been working with adding texture to my art to activate the picture plane more, create depth, and value. I used colored paper to work within the pieces in harmony with the paint for a more interesting subject. Moving on to integrating mat board in as well created the effect I was looking for with the original kaleidoscope idea.

Tesha can be reached at td@twolandscreative.com. Find her work online at http://twolandscreative.com/

You can see her work through the month of July.

Music

Music has been the blood of community since humans uttered their first groan to the setting sun or rising moon and we honor that tradition here. Check here for more information about open-mic nights or special performances. If you'd like to perform here feel free to contact us at "submissions" at "coffeeandcrema.com" for more information.

Odd Cup Out

WHAT IS ODD CUP OUT?

The Odd Cup Out is really simple. All we do is set out five rows of coffee, three cups to a row. Two of the coffees in each row will be the same and one will be different. All you have to do is pick the odd man out. Each row will have different coffees but the idea will be the same. Just find the one that doesn't belong.

Each month will feature coffee from different roasters around the country.

Don't tell us where each coffee comes from.

Please don't tell us what flavors you are tasting.

All you have to do is pick the cup that doesn't belong. Get the most correct and you win. In the event that multiple people get the same score, then the prize goes to the fastest time among those top scores.

No judges, no swans (sorry Alex), no frothing pitchers, no steam wands. It's just you and your tongue against the world.

PRIZES?

Of course.

WHEN?

The last Thursday of the month, like the Latte Art Hoedowns used to be.

WHO CAN COMPETE?

Everyone can and should compete: baristas, foodies, coffee drinkers, iron mongers. Everyone.

WHAT'S THE COST?

To watch is free.

To compete is five dollars.

WHEN IS IT AGAIN?

6 p.m. so don't be late.

if you have any questions email "info" at "coffeeandcrema.com."
